About Me
I was born, in the early 1960's, to two native Texans. My father grew up a farmer's son as did my mother. My father, was a drtiven man, and succeeded against odds and was the first in his family to complete college in the 1950's. He had met my mother, who worked in a dairy, and then I came into the picture.
My father left West Texas and joined the US Navy. This was odd as he had never seen the ocean before. This choice led him to a career in the Navy, as an officer, for over 30 years.
It was an education for myself and my sister to travel from Naval base to base, around the world, for all of our younger lives. We moved every year or two when my father would receive a new assignment. We lived in Iceland, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, South Carolina, California, Spain, Washigton, Virginia and traveled throughout Europe and the United States when my father would get "leave" from duty one month a year. It was an interesting existance and helped develop my interest in things military.
I have since served in the United States Marine Corps and attended college earning both an undergraduate and Masters degree. I met my wife, in college, while I went to school during the day and performed duties as a janitor at night.
We have been married for the last 19 years and have two daughters and look forward to our first son this October. It's been a blessed and eventful life...it's not over yet! I still have more life goals that I want to accomplish individually and with my family. Here's to famiglia!!
